How to make your smart phone battery last long
90% of smartphone users have been complaining of the life of their device’s battery. They feel the company is not good at making good battery . This is not true. The life span of your device begins with you:).
I’m sure you’ll be shocked. You’ll be like how does it begin with me. Yes it begins with you. It does in a sense that you really need to maintain your battery..
The next challenge is how to maintain your battery for it to last long. To maintain your battery, there are some things you need to avoid and somethings you need to put into practice.
Let’s start from the things you need to avoid.
No1) Avoid frequent charging. I read it from a reliable source that when you charge your battery 250 times the battery life reduces by some percentage. Imagine! And some people can charge 50 times a day. Was joking though. But you need to regulate how u charge your device. At least three or four times daily.
No2) Don’t develop an habit of charging your phone always with indirect electricity source. I mean you should charge your device often by using power supply. Power supply is the best source of light. Using alternative source like car charger power bank , Laptop, etc can easily reduce the life span or the durability of your battery. It’s what you also notice.
No3) Some application you install on your device, drains the battery so fast. E.G when you have an app using GPS, it really drain the battery. Even when you on your data especially when you’re on a 3G or 4G network. Even some games really drain the battery so fast.
No4) You need to know that your screen brightness determines the durability of a fully charged battery. When the brightness is low or at a medium level, your battery will last longer than the device being in the state of maximum brightness. And when your phone is idle, youshould also lock the screen because when the screen is on and idle for hours irrespective of the brightness, the battery reduces.
Now when you avoid these things, you’ve kept them into practise automatically. I got you there. I knew you’ll be anticipating what to do for it to last longer. You need no magical power. You just have to prevent those measures I listed above.
You know when your battery is at a cool temperature, the battery tends to last longer. As crazy as the idea of placing an expensive piece of hardware in a coolbox might sound, it is actually possible to get more battery life from a smartphone by placing it somewhere cold for a while. While a freezer is unsuitable – it is likely to cause the casing of the battery to crack – the principle of keeping a battery cool will increase the amount of power that it delivers to your phone. Li-ion rechargeable batteries generate heat when in use, something that is mitigated by internal resistance (this is also why charger voltages are so low; a high voltage would result in a faster charge but also a higher temperature – above 30 degrees Celsius/86 degrees Fahrenheit – reducing the life of the battery). This causes the battery to discharge more quickly while simultaneously providing energy for the normal functioning of the device.Using the phone in a cooler environment or storing the battery itself in a cool place when not in use can extend the charge and the life of the cell.
Regular top up charging with occasional recalibration discharge make your battery last longer.
