R. Kelly's Former Girlfriend Comes Forward And Alleges Physical And Sexual Abuse
Remember when Buzzfeed published that article back in July about R. Kelly’s alleged sex cult? Well, one of the ladies who accused him is speaking out in a new detailed interview with Rolling Stone.
Kitti Jones, a former DJ from Dallas, opened up and shared details about her past relationship with the R&B singer.
After being a fan of R. Kelly for years, Jones says she met him at an after-party back in 2011.
Like previous women that have come forward, Jones also accused R. Kelly of physical and sexual abuse. The singer allegedly ordered her to have sex with his other girlfriends and other women he would fly in.
“You can’t say no because you’re going to get punished,” she told Rolling Stone. “You just become numb to what’s happening. It’s so traumatic the things that he makes you do to other people and to him.”
According to Jones, it was “six months of hell.” She claimed the singer ordered her to participate in these sexual acts from March 2013 until September 2016.
Other accusations included being put on punishment, which included not being fed or getting her phone taken away for an excessive amount of time. “If I wasn’t getting slapped, I wasn’t eating or my phone was gone,” Jones said.
Kelly’s women were also reportedly required to call him “daddy,” wear baggy clothing, and also provide multiple updates on their whereabouts.
According to Cosmopolitan, a representative for Kelly released a statement following Jones’ interview with Rolling Stone.
The statement reads:
Mr. Kelly is aware of the repeated and now evolving claims of [Ms. Jones]. It is unfortunate that Ms. Jones, after public statements to the contrary, is now attempting to portray a relationship history with Mr. Kelly as anything other than consensual involvement between two adults. As stated previously, Mr. Kelly does not control the decision-making or force the actions of any other human being, including Ms. Jones, by her own admission. Any claim of wrongdoing of any kind or of mistreatment of any woman by him is false, ill-motived and defamatory.”
