I Should Have Listened To My Wife. I Shouldn't Have Met With Donald Trump - Tv Host Steve Harvey

Remember when Steve Harvey met with Donald Trump earlier this year? Well, the comedian and
TV host regrets that decision now and says he should’ve listened to his wife and skipped it.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Harvey said the backlash was “so vicious that it really threw me.”
“I did not see that coming,” he said. “I was being called names that I’ve never been called: Uncle Tom. A coon. A sellout. Because I went to see this man?! Which only happened because my business partner got a call from the Obama transition team, who said that the Trump transition team would like to set up a meeting.”
He went on to say that his wife Marjorie Harvey suggested he miss the meeting. “I’m supposed to be on a boat for my 60th birthday, so my wife says, ‘Steve, just take off [and skip the meeting]. You’ll meet with him some other time.’ God, I should’ve listened.”
As far as the context on the meeting, Harvey said they spoke about golf for about 20 minutes. He also admitted to Donnie the he didn’t vote for him and he actually campaigned for Hilary Clinton.
When asked “have you kept in touch with Trump?” he replied, “No, I haven’t talked to him since.”
