The Six Students Kidnapped In Epe In Their School Are Still In Captivity Two Months After Being Abducted





According to new report, the six students of the Igbonla Model college in Epe, Lagos state who were abducted by gunmen on May 25th, are yet to regain their freedom two months after being kidnapped.
Recall that the kidnappers gained entry into the school through a broken fence and initially kidnapped ten students but released four after they were profiled to be children whose parents were not rich. The kidnappers’ who demanded N100 million as ransom for the students release, reportedly wrote to the school some days before carrying out their attacks and till now efforts to rescue the students have proved abortive. N6 million the student’s parents have been able to raise and offered as ransom to the kidnappers was rejected, insisting they want N100 million or nothing else.
The Lagos state police command and the state government have maintained that they are working very hard to ensure that the abducted students are released safely.
